Jigsaw Puzzle Dvd
Over the years I have been asked many times by visitors to
my Jigsaw Shop where they can find information on the art
of hand cutting traditional wooden jigsaw puzzles so many
times in fact that I decided to see what was available but after
extensive research I could find nothing in the market place
that I felt would be of use to anyone wanting to learn to hand
cut wooden jigsaw puzzles using a scroll saw. That’s when I
realised that all that was needed was a dvd that would show
and explain the whole process from start to finish. I decided
that I would make the film but my problem was that I’m not

a film maker I’m a jigsaw puzzle cutter so I was slightly stuck, but then fate took
a hand and I was introduced to two brilliant film makers Kelsi Buck and Neil
Thomas and as they say the rest is history.

After a lot of hard work we produced a full length film (87 mins.) covering every
-thing from how I was taught to cut from scratch at the famous Victory jigsaw
puzzle manufacturers. We have also included cutting fully interlocking wooden
jigsaw puzzles, creating and using whimsies (shapes), plywood, preparing and
sticking down pictures ready for turning into wooden jigsaw puzzles, scroll saws,
blades etc. we also included a chapter on cutting wooden names and information
for those who wish set up their own craft business, as we progressed through
filming the realisation hit me that we weren’t just creating an instructional film but
also a historical record that would be as valid in one hundred years as it is today. So
